2025 Mahalaya & Durga Puja Cultural Program Registration Rules Dear Probasi Members, Greetings from the Probasi Cultural Committee! We hope you and your families are doing well. As we gear up to celebrate the joyous occasion of Durga Puja 2025, we’re excited to announce that registrations for our Cultural Programs are now open - for both Mahalaya and Durga Pujo. If you’d like to participate in both Mahalaya and Durga Puja events, please submit the following form separately for each event. Mahalaya Cultural Program 📅 Date: Saturday, September 13, 2025 📍 Venue: South Piedmont Community College 4209 Old Charlotte Hwy, Monroe, NC 28110 ⏰ Time: 11:00 AM onwards (Tentative) We are accepting entries for: - Lyrical Dance Drama ‘Agomoni’ - Individual Performances - Group Performances 📌 Deadline to submit: July 6th, 2025 =============================== Durga Puja Cultural Program 📅 Date: Friday, September 26, 2025 📍 Venue: Hindu Center (Vihar Hall) 7400 City View Drive, Charlotte, NC 28212 ⏰ Time: 6:30 PM onwards (Tentative) We are accepting entries for: - Dance Drama for kids - Individual Performances - Group Performances 📌 Deadline to submit: July 13th, 2025 You are more than welcome to perform/ participate in our lyrical dance drama or solo/group performance as per your preference. Please fill the registration form and select options accordingly. This is a great opportunity to showcase your talent and be a part of our vibrant community celebration. For your convenience, please review the guidelines below: Membership Requirements: All solo performers must be Probasi members and registered for the Puja events. For group performances, at least one participant in every 5 participants must be a Probasi member and registered for Durga Puja. Age Guidelines: Children aged 10 & under may only participate in group performances. Ages 11 & above may participate in either group or solo acts, though group participation is encouraged to allow for broader involvement. Performance Duration & Limits: Each performance is limited to 5–6 minutes. Each participant may perform in only one act per day (solo or group). Submission Deadline: Due to time constraints, entries will be considered on a first-come, first-served basis. How to Submit: Please complete and submit the request form below: If you wish to perform at both Mahalaya and Durga Puja, please submit two separate forms - one for each event. Important Note: Even if you’ve communicated your interest to EC or Cultural Committee members directly, you must also submit the official form online. This helps us track and organize all requests efficiently. Song/Theme Selection: If a particular song or theme has already been chosen by another participant, the Cultural Committee may reach out and request that you select an alternative. Final Decisions & Confirmation: All participants will receive a confirmation email from the Probasi Cultural Committee prior to the event.
